Child Protection

Inverness

Inverness Canoe Club is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and vulnerable adults in its care. It recognises its responsibilities in promoting safe practice and in protecting children and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse and exploitation. For the purposes of club activities, a child is recognised as someone under the age of 18.

Coaches who are regularly working with children undergo the necessary child protection checks and the club has a Child Protection policy ). A guide to available resources is also available for download below.

The Child Protection Officer is the first port of call over any concerns over child and vulnerable adult protection: their email address is cpo@invernesscc.org.uk and full contact details can be found within the Child Protection policy.
