Touring is simply using a kayak to journey, it can be in a dedicated touring boat, a sea kayak, a white-water kayak, on a SUP, or an open canoe. And there really is no need to just have one sort of craft on the water at a time. Sea kayaks are sleek and fast, WWKs turn on the spot, Canadians can gracefully carry a load of provsions while SUP-ers go light. The Club is experimenting with more mixed craft trips, which is particularly suited to families and and other groups who want to travel in different craft, or even to swap mid-way.
